This place is amazing! From the meaty sandwiches and yummy dinners to the delectable desserts! The cakes... O.M.G.! If you haven't tried this place, you must! It may be a little pricier than other places, but the quality is well worth it! I don't think you'll be disappointed. :-)

Mountainous, mouth-watering portions, delectable deli and bakery. Avoid the sandwich chains, these locals blend a brimful of distinctive, flakey goodness.

Tried ND Foods for the first time tonight. A good friend of mine is a regular and for some reason I had never made it over. I was not disappointed at all. Best sandwich's in OKC. I got the Pepper Turkey sandwich on Sourdough. It was amazing. Huge too! If you want a deli that has fresh breads, meats, pastries, desserts, etc...this is it. My Wife got the Lobster Bisque and half sandwich. She loved it as well. Seems like this may be what a NY Deli would be like. It will become my new regular spot to eat for sure. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

I heard about this place reading The Gazette. We had sandwiches. They were some of the best we have eaten. They were delicious and huge, but pricey. Old-fashioned bottled drinks and no sides. You don't need sides, but you do need dessert! We both had pie! This place was a fun find. It's pricey and cramped, but at 1:30 on a Saturday it was slow and relaxed. We are glad we went.

The only real sandwich shop in OKC. The sandwiches are all great. Boar's Head piled high. Deserts are all homemade and always something interesting to find like rubarb pie.

I ordered half a sandwich, mini Greek salad & red velvet cupcake. They are definitely not stingy with their meat. It was overflowing with meat & well flavored. As much as I liked the sandwich I was disappointed with the cupcake. I think it came from a box. It was really small once you got past all the icing. I heard their cheesecake is awesome. I will definitely be back to try it with the rest of their sandwiches.

This is a five star place. It's just a deli but everything they do is perfect. Great sandwiches and hot dishes. So many good choices you won't know what to get. The deserts are what this place is all about. Excellent pies and cakes, cookies, brownies and more. If you live near by or are in town for a few days you must hit up this casual place.

I have forgotten too many times to review my favorite sandwich shop in OKC. ND Foods has everything I look for. Meats piled up high with a variety of interesting combinations, homemade soups, pastries, cookies, pies, cakes, and the friendliest dude around, Nick. Last time I went I had the rotisserie chicken with swiss cheese and horseradish sauce. They used to be attached to a gas station but they have moved next to Johnnies on Britton. If the menu overwhelms you ask Nick to help you out and he will guide you to your soul mate of a sandwich. Tips: walk in, menus on the counter, deserts in the counter and behind, the tall guy is Nick - order from him, go sit down and wait for your name to be called. Go hungry.

The food quality is unparalleled for the area. The basic fare is reason enough to keep coming back. When you add the specials you see why this place has such a loyal following. And once the words "mini-meatloaf" were read I knew I was doing myself a disservice if I didn't make a monthly pilgrimage here. But all this is beside the true excellence of this place. The bakery is a true hidden gem. They hVe saved me a gain and agin when I was directed to provide "something special". I have yet to hear a single word once I break out their cake, pie, cookies, brownies or cupcakes. Everyone is too busy eating to ooooh and ahhhhh. Please go here. Just don't eat all the meatloaf.

Quirky little sandwich shop with a very homey feel. (Ambiance 3/5) I walked in for a late lunch /early supper and was greeted promptly. I mentioned it was my first time dining there, and the young man went through all the sections of the menu with me. He made sure to also mention the patron favorites. (Service 5/5) I ordered the roast beef and a cup of lobster bisque. They lose a star for using a microwave for heating the soup - it was unbelievably hot, in spots even after stirring. The sandwich had a mega mouthful of meat, but was still on the dry side. Definitely could have used more horseradish. (2/5) There was a plethora of cakes, pies, cookies and bars, which I did not try, but might come in sometime just for a slice of pie. When I'm in the neighborhood, I would choose them again over subway or the like.

Massive sandwiches full of flavor, fresh soup and courteous, quick service. This place is great. I had half a Sonoma Turkey Sandwich on whole wheat with Roasted Red pepper and Gouda soup. It was fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

Just finished my first sandwich from NDs. Surely the best deli sandwich in OKC. Met Nick friendly personable owner who shared his insights in the goings-on about town. ***** stars.

So you maybe thinking $10 is a lot for a sandwich, but the meat is piled high!!!! Most people would only need a half. High quality meats and fresh bread. You get what you pay for!

I have eaten here many times and am never ever disappointed. The portions are huge, the staff is polite, their homemade deserts are divine. I recommend the pasta salad with turkey

Ummm, yum! Okay - so I haven't been living under a rock. I've had take-home meals and pastries from here for years, since many of my family love this place. After I dragged Kasey to Tuesday Morning today, I realized I owed him lunch. So we popped across Britton to finally hit ND for real. We split the Boston beef sandwich, which we picked because the horseradish sounded good, and we were right. Okay, we split the large, and it was so much meat, half of my half is in the fridge as I write. It was delicious, but at a certain point I just couldn't eat any more. Or, was I saving room for the delicious chocolate chip cookie? Hmmm... maybe a little of both. We will definitely be back, for sandwiches and salads for lunch, and to try some of the ever-changing entrees and sides for dinners on one of those many busy nights.

YES!! Eureka! (I have found it). I've only lived here a couple months and have dying for a good sandwich...I finally found it. I've done all the city bites and other chainish sub shops with varying amounts of success. this place nailed it. I don't know what the people saying it's expensive are talking about. I guess if you believe a $5 footlong is the sandwich to which sandwich shops should be measured against for price, then well, you got me. But to me, this isn't just a sandwhich shop, it's more like a deli. This town lacks true delis, maybe that's why people are confused? Delis tend to be on the high end of sandwich shops because they generally pile the meat on high. While I don't know if this place is considered a true deli, their sandwhiched certainly fit the bill. All I know is I'm tired of sandwhiches with maybe 2 thin slices of meat on the sandwich. This place piles it's tasty meat like 2 inches tall. All I can say is, I'll be back and you should check it out if you haven't yet. don't come here expecting a chain sub shop, come here expecting a mountain of meat and topping that will satisfy...

It usually takes a while, but a great place to grab a sandwich and dessert. They put so much meat on heir sandwiches... Almost too much... So you definitely feel like you are getting a good deal. They have great pies and cakes.. But if you order a whole one-- just a warning- they are very expensive. Delicious food overall!! Soups are fabulous too!

Unfortunately, I will never return to this restaurant. The owner is a racist, she told me that it was a travesty what happened on campus, me thinking that the racial comments were the travesty I agreed with her.,. Shortly after I was mortified by what came out of her mouth, she said I quote those boys should be able to say what they want on their bus. Freedom of speech in this nation is being taken away. 30 years ago desegregation happened, and 30 years after we are behind because we let the coloreds into our schools. If you support racism shop at this place and buy their food. but if you're saying human being go ahead and go somewhere else.

One of my favorite places to have lunch. The food is fantastic! The service is wonderful, and the baked goods are incredible. Everything about this place is wonderful.

More like a 3.5 because it was slightly above average and didn't knock my socks off. I've been having a hard time finding a local deli that makes a mean ol' pastrami sammy and was advised that NDz would be a winner. With the 5 and 4 star reviews, I thought that it had to be awesome! Ratio of meat to bread- It was piled high and fantastic! I ordered the 1/2 Lobster Bisque and 1/2 pastrami on sourdough. Overall, my meal was mediocre. The pastrami didn't taste flavorful to me. Think they use Boar's Head. The soup was creamy and rich, but there wasn't a trace of lobster pieces. It was basically a pulverized creamy soup. Not terrible by any means, just boring. Agree to disagree. Conclusion? If you're starving, get yourself a snack to tide yourself over. There were 4 people in front of us and so it seemed like we waited for a half hour. In actuality it was more like 10-15 minutes. Luckily you can walk to the antique shop next store and browse while you wait. If I come back it would be to try a dessert or salad.

Blah. Nothing special. Meatball sub and turkey sandwich with no sides or drinks. $24.00 You'll need a drink because both were really dry.

This is by far the best Deli in the city. Nick and his staff are gracious and helpful. If you leaver here hungry it's your fault or you have the proverbial hollow leg. I think I gained weight walking by the pastries. Try the three berry pie.

We come here specifically for the desserts! The cakes are rich and the slices are huge. The pies are baked fresh and the slices are huge. Not many places to get rhubarb pie in OKC. Their sandwiches are piled too high for my liking and that says a lot! I'm a big guy and I like a sandwich that fills me up, ND does more than that. Their salads are fresh and tasty! This could be a 5 star place if they had regular plates and real flatware. I'm just one of those folks that hate styrofoam and I especially hate eating off styrofoam with a plastic fork and knife. I typically order for take out because of the styrofoam and plasticware. They have the very best coconut cake and strawberry / lemonade cake I have ever tasted bar none. ND has provided the cakes for three of our kids weddings. Way better choice than the traditional wedding cake!

This is an unsolicited but highly personal review because I take my delicatessen food seriously. N and D is, in my opinion, the "Gold Standard" for Delis in Oklahoma. The delicatessen is clean and spotless, the food contains nothing but the very best products that they can find, and although they may be the same or even a bit more pricey on some of their items than "cheaper" options, they never short change their customers, and always give their customers the best value they can. You owe it to your Self to give them a fair chance to earn your highest rating and respect, for they will certainly do everything in their power to do so! Most of their customers are "regulars," like me and my Fiance, and each Staff Member at N and D's is so conscientious that they will likely remember not only who you are, but what you like to have--if you give them a fair chance. Often I have been reminded by one or more of them whenever I have forgotten one of my usual requests, and they always are respectful and conscientious about it--especially when it comes to their experience and time-tested recipes which are usually for the most quite delicious. The couple of reviews that appear less praiseworthy from the ones I have seen listed in this group, are in the minority, either flukes of circumstance, or very unlikely to be valid in terms of my experience with N and D's earned reputation and professional credibility over the past years. I have seen Nick and Delores themselves, as well as their very competent Staff go way beyond their "call of duty" to assist their customers with incredibly complicated requests and needs, and I consider myself among one of their most "picky" and fanatically critical food customers. In fact, no one has more genuine Love for their customers than Delores herself, who also has created one of the most remarkable Vintage Antique Stores in the Oklahoma City area--well worth a visit while they build a sandwich to your personal specifications. My own favorite is their smoked thinly sliced turkey and Swiss cheese piled high, with spicy mustard, fresh lettuce and fresh tomato on home-made whole wheat bread-- or sometimes for a change, I will have it on their fresh sour dough bread, often toasted. I also highly recommend their Reuben Sandwich, it is awesome. They have fresh breads galore, and they make a variety of fresh soups too, and other specialties like meatloaf and tuna or chicken salad made fresh daily, or egg salad made on Fridays if they don't run out first--I recommend the chicken tequila lime soup with their wonderful fresh taco chips. with half a sandwich of any kind, for a delicious meal. Their other soups and side items are excellent too. They have so many salads and sides and types of sandwiches that I cannot even begin to describe all of them--except to say they are generously sized so that a whole sandwich will likely be plenty for two hungry customers with good appetites. Their pies are generally wonderful too, and so are their cakes and cookies, that is if you are still hungry enough to have a memorable desert with your meal. They even make their own version of a delicious sweet and sour bread and butter pickle that is well-worth putting on your sandwich for a small additional cost, although I would like to see them offer them on a sandwich as a customer treat when requested. I hope you can tell from this review, that I am a proud and loyal customer of this "one-of-a-kind restaurant in the heart of OKC, (just a couple of blocks east of May on Britton Road and just a few doors east of Johnnies), and I am honored to recommend N and D's to anyone without reservations. If you want a delicious delicatessen meal made and served by conscientious sandwich makers and bakers, as all of us sometimes do, please do not leave this original Oklahoma City Institution and Landmark off of your list. In my humble opinion, it is well worth your time to investigate this unique delicatessen for your Self, because you are unlikely to ever be disappointed. Sincerely (with apologies for the detailed soliloquy), Dr. M. Preisz

I can't stop coming here. In fact, I brought my brother here when he was visiting. He was amazed at how giant a half sandwich is. And he was genuinely sad when his food (including mac and cheese) was gone. Since my first review, I've tried some desserts and they are just as awesome as the food.

Everything I have gotten there has been good. The croissant ham sandwich is fabulous!! The best ham I've ever had. The turkey is really good as well. They also have some great desserts and always some good unexpected specials. Definitely worth checking out.

Absolutely wonderful and delightful food experience. Let me start by saying that this place is definitely unique and one of a kind. From their pepper jack mac and cheese to the owners mother's antique shop right across the isle, this is absolutely a must to dine at. I've been here several times and usually get different sandwiches every time but the main undiscovered gems of this place are the desserts. The cookies are ridiculously addictive and 10 minutes later will have you craving for more. The pies are delicious and portion wise look like a deep dish pizza straight out Giordano's (CHI TOWN). If you are contemplating visiting this splendid place then GO. You will not be disappointed!

We've eaten here a few times. The food is really good, fresh & very large portions. I've not sampled the desserts, but they look amazing. They always have several freshly baked pies behind the counter and cookies, pastries & cakes in the case , but I'm always too full to try them.

So incredibly rude and unenthusiastic when I called to ask for their hours. I have been here once and loved the food and recommended it to everyone- now I'll suggest another local restaurant with better service.

Ordered 1/2 cajun turkey and cup of lobster bisque. Sandwich did have a lot of meat but nothing special. Also the lobster bisque had no lobster and was not very flavorful. Also got a turtle brownie... very disappointed. Might go again and try one of their daily specials

I recently moved to this area of OKC and began scouring for places to get good food. I am not referring to McDonalds, Johnnies (I enjoy Johnnies occasionally, good hamburgers) but I am talking food you could eat every single day. I went to an estate sale at The Gallery next door to ND Foods and stumbled into this little Mecca of wonderful furniture, antiques - crystal, glassware, chandeliers, silver, art, books, beautiful florals, garden furniture, china--I mean, you name it! I walked through antiques shop first, then went to counter in cafe to order, knowing I could go back and peruse lovlies while waiting on food. Daily specials that are better than any restaurant in OKC - lasagna, cabbage rolls, meat loaf, chicken Parmesan, chicken and rice casserole-more I can't remember and it changes. Then a large menu full of an array of sandwiches that are huge! I'm talking almost two inches high with lunch meat! And delicious soups - my fav is the roasted red pepper and Gouda. Love their spiced and raspberry iced teas. And I didn't even begin to describe the dessert case. Cakes that are prob 12" round three-almost 2"-layers that are gorgeous! Homemade fruit pies like I have never seen, no lie. Prob 5" deep with crust that had to be secret and a delish crumbly crunchy topping. And cookies, pecan and lemon bars. Okay! I must stop. But you will be hooked, if you try this place. I have no prob walking right past Johnnies for this awesome lunch and early dinner -I think they open to 8- for take out entrees. Sorry this is so long-I have been working on it for while:)

Biggest, best sandwiches in town. Great desserts - everything is very high quality. You have to split the meals, they are huge.
